Hurumanu - Balloon Chemistry

Today, our teacher said to us that we have a new experiment, the name of our experiment is a balloon. It was a good experiment we did will in my good we take good photos. After we did in our experiment our science teacher said to blog it about it. What you have learned.

Aim: To see which chemical mix creates the most gas.

Hypothesis: (What do I think will happen)

I think the balloon will blow up because the gases make carbon dioxide. I think the vinegar will make or add more gas.

    Materials:

  1.  Two plastic bottles
  2. Two balloon
  3. Salt
  4. Baking soda
  5. Vinegar
  6.  Soda water

Steps:
  1.  Get the two bottles and two balloons
  2.  Get the vinegar and soda put it into two  different  plastic bottles
  3.  Get  the balloon  and put the baking soda or the salt
  4.  Put the balloon into the plastic bottle
  5. Wiggle the balloon so the baking soda or the salt will go down to the vinegar
  6.  You will see how cool is this experiment and take some photos, have fun.

My images:

The blue balloon is the one that didn't work but the balloon makes bigger but suddenly going small, so our group ask the teacher that can we do another one. Our teacher said yes so the other experiment is the pink balloon but still didn't work. I and my group we size it how big is it. Even didn't work we saw that the balloon can make it bigger. After we take it photos and then blog it what we have done was the experiment is good.

I think this experiment is awesome because we knew that the vinegar and baking soda will make the balloon blow, same as the vinegar and the salt. It's ok that the one didn't work we see the other group work so our one something mistake or the balloon has a whole on it.

( 3 tsp baking soda, ½ cup vinegar)
Balloon 2
( 3 tsp salt, ½ cup soda)

Conclusion:

I really enjoy our experiment even our group didn't work but we can see that the balloon is trying to blow up. Even our experiment didn't work we still see it and we had fun about our experiment, it was so good taking pictures of it and post it on the blog. We also found out that we can make carbon dioxide. The blue balloon and the pink balloon didn't work I don't know why didn't work but we saw it how the balloon trying to blow. Thank you all for reading my blog post about Hurumanu-Balloon Chemistry Science.

100 world challenge

It was a sunny morning when I was walking down the city, I was finding a T-shirt for my dad to the city. When there are too many people in the city and the car it so traffic. I was so fast walking because lots of people walking to the city and going to a marketplace.  Suddenly I saw a T-shirt and then I buy it, but it was a colour pink T-shirt I forgot it is for my dad not for my sister. I think I’m just gonna give it to my dad even it was a wrong colour

Skittles

Our science teacher said that if you finished in your experiment, you need to do another experiment it is the Skittles experiment. I and khush and khyle done so cool we take photos on it it was so cool the skittles turning to a rainbow. It was so good, our teacher said that if we are finished we need to post it on the blog and show it to the teacher before you published.

Aim: To separate colours from skittles by using chromatography.

Definition: Chromatography is a method of separating out materials from a mixture.
Eg. blood, ink, drugs,

Materials:

  • Petrie Dish
  • Water
  • Skittles
  • Green skittle
  • Two blue skittles
  • Orange skittle
  • Yellow skittle
  • Red skittle

Steps:

Step 2: Put All six skittle in the Petrie dish.
Step 3: Spread the skittles out evenly in the edge of the dish.
Step 4: Put some water to the top of the Petrie dish.
Step 5: Step away and watch it make colour
Step 6: at the end of the experiment you can eat the skittles that were in the Petrie Dish.

Conclusion :
I've learned about what kind of material we need to make this rainbow skittle colour in the water. When we start to put the water on Petrie Dish, the water slowly changing to a rainbow colour. Then the skittles slowly no more colour on the bottom only at the top. Then after it is done the water is so colourful and the same as a rainbow colour.

Hurumanu -Rainbow Paper

Today, our science teacher said to us that we are going to do some experiment. I don't know what we do but suddenly our teacher shows us how to do it and what we need to make it. suddenly we've done our experiment and our teacher said that we are going to put this on the blog and what we experiment we need to take a  picture.

Aim: To separate colours by using the process of chromatography.

Materials.

  • Filter paper
  • Water-based felt pens.
  • Plastic cup
  • Pencil colour
  • Water

Forensics:

  • Footprint
  • DNA
  • Forgery
  • Ballistics
  • Fingerprint
  • Appearance
Steps:
  1.  You need the equipment that you need
  2. You need to get the filter paper
  3. What two colour do you want only green and black
  4. You need to put a two circle in the bottom of the  filter paper
  5. You need to fold it in a half the filter paper and then put it in the plastic cup
  6. Show it to your teacher and she/he will put water on it

Conclusion: What have I learned?

I learned how they separate colours, I learned how it works and what is the material we need. It was so cool to see the water making to a colour.  I Learned that the paper will slowly turn to a colour rainbow, I learned the water slowly turning to a colour.

Hurumanu

List 5 drama games we played.

  • Freeze frame
  •  Two truth one lie
  • Follow the  leader
  • Copy dancing
  • Guest the leader
Describe 1 game in detail; what we did and what skills we learned

Guest the leader because you need to be careful if the gues are coming and whoever the leader needs to be careful so the gues cannot find who is the leader on our game. I use skills by helping our leader to be careful not going to be the guest because if you are the guest you need to try hard so you can find who is the leader.

Found and linked instruction to a drama game I would like to play

Included the 4 aspects of Hauora [English and Maori]

I and my group Doing Mental and Emotional well-being.  I and my groups have done a good plan, our plan is I and my group Khyle were like emotional angry with each other. Khyle said ' I hated when you make fun of your hair'  Then after Khyle said that then my turn to say ''I thought it was just a joke. Then our other two groups saying something but I forgot maybe next time if we do a blog again.

Taha tinana - Physical well-being
THE BODY: Growing, moving, caring for it

Taha whanau - Social well-being
Friends and Family: caring, belonging, relationships

Taha hinengaro - Mental and emotional well-being
THE MIND: Thinking, feeling

aha wairua - Spiritual well-being
Values and beliefs: the search for meaning and purpose in life, and personal identity and self-awareness
