Political Party

 What are we doing?

So guy our teacher said that we are going to do the political party si there are 4 classes name and in every class, there will choose 1 in that class and 1 in the other class so they don't work with there classmate and work with other people that you don't normally work.  So my group is Aryan, Cody, Chara and Saiha we are thinking about the name of our political name, suddenly Aryan said that the name of our political is Mint and all of us like it and we tell to the teacher that our name of our political name. Then Aryan make a very cool logo and we all like it and would love to be our logo, then after we did the logo name now we are thinking about the slogan and My group member said that the slogan will be 'Let's get Mint' and then we are choosing  5 policies that we will focus on. We are choosing who is our leader in this group and all member except Aryan, the member said ''Aryan will be our leader'.

5 Policies You Will Focus On - Look back to the list on the slides

  1. Plant more trees around New Zealand

  2. More bins around New Zealand

  3. More access to counselling and mental health support.

  4. Try to get the cafe to use less plastic

  5. Free mints in every classroom

Here are our Logo and Slogans

Energy Transformation Experiment

8 different kind of energy

  1. Sound Energy
  2. Light Energy
  3. Heat Energy
  4. Chemical Energy
  5. Electric Energy
  6. Kinetic Energy
  7. Potential Energy
  8. Elastic Potential Energy

  1. Chemical  + Electrical = Phone
  2. Light + Chemical = Flashlight,Car
  3. Kinetic + Light =  Conect

Aim: To make a marshmallow shooter that transforms energy.

Equipment:

  1.  Marshmallow
  2.  Cup
  3.  Scissors
  4. Duck Tape
  5. Balloon

Method:
  1. Take the scissors
  2. Cut the bottom off of the cup
  3. Take the balloon and cut the bottom off the very tip after you cut it off you will take it and stretch it over, the top of the cup where you cut hole once it's on you will tie and knot in the end where you would normally blow air into balloon tie it off.
  4. In order to secure the balloon over the top of the cup take a piece of duct tape and wrap it around securely tapping the balloon to the cup, this will allow you to be able to pull the balloon as far back as you can without snapping off, You will now take a handful of marshmallow this will be your ammo that you will able to shoot far distance with to prepare your new marshmallow and place it in the  very centre of the bottom of your cup
  5. You will now take hold of the end and pull it back as far as you would like in order to gain
  6. Have Fun!

Energy Transformation

The Law Of Conversation Of Energy

Energy can't be created nor destroyed, but only change from one form into another form.

Example of Energy transformation

  • Flashlight -Chemical-light
  • Car-Chemical-Kinetic, Light sound
  • Phone-Chemical-Electricity-Light, Sound, Heat, and chemical energy
  • Laptop-Electricity-Light, Sound, Heat and chemical energy
  • Radio-Electricity-Sound

Aim: To look at the energy transformation

Equiptment:

Paper
Scissors

Summary:
The paper will get burn and more fire going on

What kind of energy was transformed?
To heat energy

What was it transformed too?
The heat energy to kinetic

End of Life Choice referendum

*Explain What it is about...

Like if you have cancer or like anything in your body that has a problem that the doctor and heal it and there is a doctor who asks you that in that day you are gonna die, there is a doctor will say that if you wanna die before that day we will give you medicine that makes you died.

*Explain what the criteria are...

To be able to ask for assisted dying, a person must meet all the following criteria.

  • Be aged 18 years or over
  • Be a citizen or permanent resident of New Zealand
  • Suffer from a terminal illness that's likely to end their life within 6 months
  • Have significant and ongoing decline in physical capability
  • Experience unbearable suffering that cannot be eased
  • Be able to make an informed decision about assistant dying

*Positives + Negative

Positive family their person does not suffer, die in peace.

Negative  Doctor may not want to do it because doctor helping people to live not helping people to die.

*Do you support or not?

Yes I will Support

Add a subheading by J V Dagaas

Nuclear

Definition:  Nuclear power is the use of nuclear reactions that release nuclear energy to generate heat, which most frequently is then used in steam turbines to produce electricity in a nuclear power plant.

How is it made?
Nuclear energy originates from the splitting of uranium atoms, A process called fission. This generates heat to produce steam, which is used by a turbine generator to generate electricity.

What countries use this energy?
Only France, Slovakia, Ukraine and Hungry use them as the source for the majority of the countries electricity supply as of 2019.

What is it used for?
Nuclear power process heat and non-stationary power reactors have essential use across multiplier sectors.

Types of energy

Our science teacher said that we are making crosswords about all types of energy and who can see my blog post gonna do it.

Energy

Energy :

Definition:  Stored in an object, the ability to move something.

Different kinds of energy.

Light energy
The energy of the electromagnetic waves. Found in Microwaves, x-rays, and visible light
Example: Electric bulb and Burning candle.

Heat energy
Cause by the movement lots of particles. Found in all hot objects.
Example: Sun and fire

Sound energy
The energy produced by vibrating objects. Example are speech, ultrasound and music.
Example: Musical instruments and voices.

Chemical potential energy
Energy stored in the bonds between particles. Found in substance like petrol and food.
Example: Battery and car

Electrical energy
The movement of electrically charged particles. FOund in wires, Generators and lighting.
Example: Batteries and energy generated by electric eels.

Gravitational potential energy
Energy stored in objects due to their height above the ground.
Example: Rock and Asteroid.

Kinetic energy
Energy due to the motion of an object. Eg. Movie cars, running, swimming.
Example: Walking and jumping.

Elastic potential energy
Energy stored in stretched or squashed objects, Example are springs and rubber bands.
Example: Bungee and bow.

Information about Plastic bag

So last week in Textile the teacher gives us a task is to research like the example, Why there is no more single use of plastic bags?. While I'm researching I found like good information about it and I put it on google docs and post it on my blog so people can see it who is viewing my blog.

Why there is no more single use of plastic bags?

Single-use plastic shopping bags are banned in New Zealand  Because businesses cannot provide you with single-use plastic bags. The ban will help reduce the amount of plastic in our environment. They also ban the use of plastic bags because the plastic bag is very thick and easy to break down when it breaks people just throwing in the ground not putting in the rubbish bin, It doesn’t help our environment.

Phasing Out Single-Use Plastic Bags - UHY Haines Norton
Relate climate change

As it does, sunlight and heat cause the plastic to release powerful greenhouse gases, leading to an alarming feedback loop. As our climate change, the planet gets hotter, the plastic breaks down into more methane and ethylene, increasing the rate of climate change.

How they are made?

Traditional plastic bags are usually made from polyethene, which is consist of a long chain of ethylene monomers. The oil or gas is superheated and pressurized to isolate pure polyethene chains which can be combined (polymerized) to form resin pellets of pure plastic. Whether the product will be a grocery bag or a plastic shopping bag, different amounts of heat and pressure will be applied to create plastic resin pellets of different densities.
Alternatives to plastic bags?

  • School Bag
  • Woven Polypropylene
  • Jute
  • Cotton bag
  • Silicone bags
  • Reusable cloth produce bags
  • Linen  bread bags instead of plastic or paper
