 Welcome to my blog, I am going to post about what I complete from the activity for the Creative Writing unit for English, This third activity was about Haiku Poems We had to create a Canva or other to give an example of a Haiku poem and whats the definition.

 This is my second task so I will be given the meaning of the words and example of it like how to use that word in the sentence or short sentence.

Her Grandmother plaited her granddaughter's hair, Her grandmother wants her to get her lunch and comeback straight after school. Her granddaughter goes to school and lives with her grandmother and grandfather. Her grandfather was hoeing around the cabbages and her grandmother is picking up beans. Her grandmother asks if did she bring the book home and did she write her story. Her daughter said that he already write the story and it's about butterflies. She told me that She killed all the butterflies and her grandmother said what did her teacher said, her teacher explains a lot of information about butterflies. Daughter teaches is gonna buy all the cabbages from the supermarket.

WHY ARE WE/YOU READING THIS TEXT?

Because this story is very interesting all about a girl who makes a story about butterflies and tell his grandmother and grandfather about her story. Her story is she killed the butterflies because the butterflies pest their cabbages.

Describing words start with my name

 J-OYFUl, is all about happiness, Like full of joy, having or causing joy. Full of joy, as a person or one’s heart, showing or expressing joy, as look actions or speech. Causing or bringing joy, as an event.

Why I chose this describing word: When I play games on my phone When it's winning I always have full joy because when I Won game is good for my stats on my game. I also get joyful is when my parents have a surprise for me on my birthday or Christmas because last year my parents gift me on my birthday new shoes and on Christmas last year I get AirPods.

V-ICTORIOUS, means having won in a game like an online game that people usually play or having won in sports tournaments like badminton, basketball, football. 

Why I choose this describing word: Last last year I was so happy and I feel Victorious because last year  I join badminton tournament and even we didn't come first at least we came second. When I play the game and always win that game I feel victorious having won in a game.

What is Spiritual and what is used for?

It is a song slave song, who people being a slave in African American. A spiritual is a type of religious folksongs that is most closely associated with the enslavement of Africa people in the American South.

Who is Harriet Tubman and what the underground Railroad was?

Harriet Tubman was an escaped enslaved woman who becomes a 'Conductor' on the Underground Railroad, leading enslaved people to freedom before the Civil war, all while carrying a bounty on her head. But she was also a nurse, a Union spy and a women's suffrage supporter.

How are these events still significant today?

Racism was still evident today because of slavery years ago.

Evidence of this seen today with the black lives matter movement.

Through music-many musicians today continue to talk/protest about racism in America

This is the map that we have been doing it for this term and it was not easy to do it because you have to write about what does it mean and about the map we have to circle it where is the name of it.

Physical or Chemical Change

                   (Heating ZnO)

 Hypothesis- Explosion = Chemical change

Equipment - Sample of ZnO (Zinc oxide)

• Heat source - Hot plate
• Scales
• Heatproof container - Evaporating dish
• Tongs
• Heatproof mat

Method -   

1. Get sample ff Zn0 in an evaporating dish
2. Weigh the ZnO + container - Record weight
3. Heat container + ZnO on a hot plate
4. Observe any changes - use the phone for before and after photos (Video?)
5. Take of hot  + put on a heatproof mat
6. Let cool - observe - Photos
7. Re weigh

Results -

The result is the zinc oxide was change colour to light yellow and it has different smells

Conclusion - 

First, we have to get zinc oxide and turn on the  Heat were we going to put the zinc oxide so that where we can see what it changes if its smell different or like changes colour,  First we have to measure the weight of the zinc oxide then after that we have to put it in the hate so we can see what the changes are.

We have been doing a task that we can choose what task we are going to do first and then after we have finished that task we have to post it in our blog so that our teacher can see it. 

Critical Literacy

The Film 'Treaty of Waitangi: What Really Happened' directed by Peter Burger, is about the signing of one of our founding documents. It is a dramatisation of the days leading up and including the signing. We know this through the chiefs arguing, discussing and eventually signing the Treaty base on history. We also know through the film's title and voiceover.

The crown wrote out the treaty in the meeting and there a lot of arguments and discussion in the Māori because they don't want that English people going to take away their lands and going to be their land. People are just mad to the English people who want to be in their land. Next meeting lots of people Māori people leaving and half of it stay and went to the meeting, The Māori Chief was there and He signs the treaty there is 1 Māori that telling other Māori that doesn't sign in the treaty because the English are bad people but when someone shouted him that stop then suddenly he sign in the treaty and his people did sign it too. After they sign it they will get a reward like Tabacco and blankets until they are a friend.

2- Lots of arguments  and discussions about whether Māori should sign it because there were concerned about their land, people rights being taken away

Explaining what is 321RIQ mean?

 321RIQ is like 3  words meanings of something that you post in your blog, Is like what you learn about Maths and who you work with. 321RIQ is a word that reflects your blog and asking you what you have done in your learning. Is like 3 words in the same meaning is like what you have learned to that work and like 1 question that you didn't understand.
