What was the best lesson and why?

My best lesson in ESOL is when we have to make an Essay, I put all my efforts into making my own words Essay without not copying my words.

What did you enjoy doing and why?

I enjoy doing it when our teacher giving us free time so we could do just chill and watch youtube.

What was one task you were proud of and why?

I was proud to do the ESOL test I know that I put my effort into it and it was challenging to answer some questions and also there is a listening reading test.

What is something you could do differently / better next term?

Do more blogging and reading a book on our own, Playing board games, Free time, Watching movies, Crosswords.

Holiday trip

On holiday I and my family went to Akaroa and we went to the restaurant and eat some delicious food. After we eat, we went to the beach and walk around and watching some good views of the beach and the mountain.  My parents take some good pictures and my brother and sister are very enjoy the place and the view. My mom said that we going to buy ice cream because it was so hot and we need something to drink but rather than drinking cold water, we buy ice cream.

My favourite Culture celebration

Hello guys, Today in our ESOL lesson we have to blog about what kind of culture that I like to celebrate in Newzealand. Our ESOL teacher said that we have to post it on our blog. I blog about what my family culture celebrates and celebrated once a year.

What is Culture?

Culture for me is like where other countries do things like there make their own traditional music, art, clothing, tools, beliefs etc. There are 195 countries in the world each of the countries has different culture and beliefs. For example, some people in their country do not believe. In my religion, we know that Jesus is god but in other people's religion in their country thinks that Jesus is not god. In different countries, they make their own music and most people in other countries doesn’t know what it means because is not there language they usually speak. Other countries make their own clothes and other country doesn't know what kind of clothes is that because in their country have clothes that they usually wear it and other countries have a different style of clothes.

What is Santo Nino?

My favourite cultural celebration is Santo Nino where a lot of  Filipino come together and celebrate Santo Nino. They make an event and all Filipino come together. In the Philippines, they celebrate Santo Nino in Cebu were a lot of people. We celebrate Santo Nino once a year On the third Sunday of January. There is another name of Santo Nino called Sinulog. Usually, Santo Nino is celebrated in other religion because in the Philippines there are a lot of languages we speak but for me, I can only speak 3 languages.

 In Cebu, we usually speak Bisaya one of the languages in the Philippines but some Tagalog join us to celebrate Santo Nino, the same country but different religion. I and My family join the Santo Nino in New Zealand where we always celebrate every year. My family friend making songs or like a dance that there gonna show for the people who will come to the Santo Nino event on the third Sunday of January. Usually, we have to go to the park and bring our own Santo Nino before we go inside of the church. First, we did is we went outside and bring Santo Nino and we make a line and dance Santo Nino walking to church and then after that, we have to go inside the church and take a mass after we take a mass we have to go to the house that we hire so we can celebrate there. Lots of Filipino bringing their own Filipino foods to share with other people.

Respect

Hello guys, welcome to my blog today we are blogging about Respecting, we have to make 150 words definition of respect and also we have to make what kind of respect do we have in class and post it on our blog. I hope you like to read my blog thank you.

Respect 1 of the school values in school, there are 4 values in school, the first values in school are Achievement, Resilience, Commitment and Respect. Respect is like you give attention to your family not only your family also your teacher and other people who are talking. Lots of people don't have respect like when the teacher is talking to the class and some of the students is talking while the teacher is talking and explaining about what do to, if you don't listen to the teacher, you don't know what to do after she/he talks to the class.

 Respect one of the important rules in the school because if a student in school doesn't respect, all student doesn't respect their family and their teacher. Also while your teacher is talking and you making like a nice where people or student laugh, doesn't have respect to the teacher. Your mom is told something to do and you shouted at her and say swear words, one of the disrespect thing. People will respect you if you respect them.

Also, respect means is that you accept somebody for who they are, even when they different from you or you don't agree with them. Respec in your relationship builds feelings of trust, safety and wellbeing, respect doesn't have to come naturally - it is something you learn. Respecting whos older than you or even not older than you. Being respected by important people in our lives growing up teaches us how to be respectful towards others.

Respect is like when you treat others with respect like treat them goof not do things that make them feel sad or cry or even like deprresed. if you respect other people they will respect you back. Respect your friend if they need help, go and him/her because that's one of the respect things. Truly if you have respect for someone, people will know because they can see what you are doing, like example the teacher is talking and he/she can look to someone who is being respectful to her when she was talking in front of the class.

How Do We Show Respect For Others?

1. Listen. Listening to what another person has to say is a basic way to respect them
2. Affirm. When we affirm someone, we're giving evidence that they matter

Athletics Day - ESOL

Yesterday we don't have ESOL because we only have 2 periods because we had Athletics day. First, we Did is after period 2 my social study class our teacher said that we have to eat,  morning tea, then We have to meet all Tieke In the old basketball court. When all Tieke was there and most of them wear red colour because in other groups they wear blue and yellow. We had to practise 2x of the song for the Tieke that we had to practise in the auditorium. After we sing that song We all Tieke group going to the field while singing our house colour songs. I watch Year 7 and 8 doing running and mostly lots of people watch until we have to go to our group like year 10 boys because we still have to participate do running, long jump and more. There is Social and Competative, Social is when you still participate but not like Competative you have to do like 100 metres of running and kind of that stuff.

Describing words start with my name

 J-OYFUl, is all about happiness, Like full of joy, having or causing joy. Full of joy, as a person or one’s heart, showing or expressing joy, as look actions or speech. Causing or bringing joy, as an event.

Why I chose this describing word: When I play games on my phone When it's winning I always have full joy because when I Won game is good for my stats on my game. I also get joyful is when my parents have a surprise for me on my birthday or Christmas because last year my parents gift me on my birthday new shoes and on Christmas last year I get AirPods.

V-ICTORIOUS, means having won in a game like an online game that people usually play or having won in sports tournaments like badminton, basketball, football. 

Why I choose this describing word: Last last year I was so happy and I feel Victorious because last year  I join badminton tournament and even we didn't come first at least we came second. When I play the game and always win that game I feel victorious having won in a game.

Explaining what is 321RIQ mean?

 321RIQ is like 3  words meanings of something that you post in your blog, Is like what you learn about Maths and who you work with. 321RIQ is a word that reflects your blog and asking you what you have done in your learning. Is like 3 words in the same meaning is like what you have learned to that work and like 1 question that you didn't understand. So usually you have to put it in your blog and answer it so your teacher can see your work in the blog and see what you wrote about that reflection and also what you learn.
