What does the author of this text want us to know?

While I was reading this article I heard about people saying that students are talking to each other more, rather than just sitting on their phones. Some people said that phones in school should be ban so people are not distracted by things on their phones and they can focus more on their school work. If students are spotted using their phones, they are handed to the teacher and leave it into the student reception and they can only get it back when the school is finished. If you got caught again, you need to bring your parents to school to get your phone in the office and explain why you use your phone in school time.

Students are allowed to use Chromebook/laptop but they cannot access social media or games on the school network, but youtube are not banned but the school teacher can see where you at and what are you doing in your Chromebook. School networks can also ban games that they can see in your Chromebook that you are not doing your work because of playing games that are not appropriate.

Student can use their phones in special circumstances but even staff have to email the principal if they want students to use cell phones for a learning purpose. You can only use your phone in class if you were told to take a picture of your work and like there is a form that you haven't give back, that you need that permission form so you can go out with your school, you can directly call your parent using your phone to tell that you have permission to go out.

Because this book is good for kids who like reading a story that has funny words that makes me laugh. There is a boy who wants to take revenge on the nasty Mr and Mrs Twit. When I read this book it makes me feel excited about what's gonna happen next in the story and there are lots of funny things that he did to Mr and Mrs Twit.

It also talks about whether you're being addicted to alcohol can ruin your life and your relationship with your GF/bf. The author also wants us to know that you don't have to be on your phone like at work or hanging with friends every time. ''If you don't have your phone, just enjoy the world". Also, tell that none of us should charge our phone in our bedroom, should charge it in the living room.

This story was about 5 people who want to go somewhere but end up losing to their destination and when the sun was close to setting behind a range of hills by the time they reached the destination.  Suddenly they found something that it has a roof and the boys called it a cottage. They went into the cottage and checked if someone was there, and when they went inside, no one was inside. They think that maybe they can like have 1-night sleep there and when it's morning they continue walking around.  When it was their first morning in the hut, they found a shotgun and it has ammo that hasn't been used yet.

The Image in this story is his big brother going somewhere at night but her little sister want to come with him but his big brother doesn't want her little sister to come with him because its very night and walking down the street his brother scared if there is something gonna happened both of them gonna get told of. His big brother run out in the road and her little sister follow him down the street while crying and shouting his big brother name. Suddenly his big brother feels sad for her and he said that goes back to the home before I get angry but her little sister doesn't want but his brother getting angry and he throws a stone on her little sister because her little sister doesn't want to go home.

Athletics Day - Reflection Section

 Yesterday we don't have ESOL because we only have 2 periods because we had Athletics day. First, we Did is after period 2 my social study class our teacher said that we have to eat,  morning tea, then We have to meet all Tieke In the old basketball court. When all Tieke was there and most of them wear red colour because in other groups they wear blue and yellow. We had to practise 2x of the song for the Tieke that we had to practise in the auditorium. It was fun seeing my friend versing other people in running and I feel the excitement. After we sing that song We all Tieke group going to the field while singing our house colour songs. I watch Year 7 and 8 doing running and mostly lots of people watch until we have to go to our group like year 10 boys because we still have to participate do running, long jump and more. There is Social and Competative, Social is when you still participate but not like Competative you have to do like 100 metres of running and kind of that stuff.

What does the author of this text want us to know?

About what he did yesterday in athletics Day and how does he feel on that day and what did he do. He feels happy because He seeing his friend versing other students in running.

Her Grandmother plaited her granddaughter's hair, Her grandmother wants her to get her lunch and comeback straight after school. Her granddaughter goes to school and lives with her grandmother and grandfather. Her grandfather was hoeing around the cabbages and her grandmother is picking up beans. Her grandmother asks if did she bring the book home and did she write her story. Her daughter said that he already write the story and it's about butterflies. She told me that She killed all the butterflies and her grandmother said what did her teacher said, her teacher explains a lot of information about butterflies. Daughter teaches is gonna buy all the cabbages from the supermarket.

WHY ARE WE/YOU READING THIS TEXT?

Because this story is very interesting all about a girl who makes a story about butterflies and tell his grandmother and grandfather about her story. Her story is she killed the butterflies because the butterflies pest their cabbages.

Critical Literacy

The Film 'Treaty of Waitangi: What Really Happened' directed by Peter Burger, is about the signing of one of our founding documents. It is a dramatisation of the days leading up and including the signing. We know this through the chiefs arguing, discussing and eventually signing the Treaty base on history. We also know through the film's title and voiceover.

The crown wrote out the treaty in the meeting and there a lot of arguments and discussion in the Māori because they don't want that English people going to take away their lands and going to be their land. People are just mad to the English people who want to be in their land. Next meeting lots of people Māori people leaving and half of it stay and went to the meeting, The Māori Chief was there and He signs the treaty there is 1 Māori that telling other Māori that doesn't sign in the treaty because the English are bad people but when someone shouted him that stop then suddenly he sign in the treaty and his people did sign it too. After they sign it they will get a reward like Tabacco and blankets until they are a friend.
