Chocolate chip cookies

Today we are making chocolate chip cookies, With my same group last week, because last week I didn't go to school because I wake up late and I didn't wake up early.

I was in my group and helping them making chocolate chip cookies and I was the one who is taking the picture so we can use it when we are blogging, So first put all the ingredient together and put it in the thing where we going to put it on the oven so it will bake. After we did putting all the ingredients and we make a small circle and then put it on the baking thing where you put the chocolate chips cookies.

Ingriedents and equiptment

100g butter

1/2 cup Chelsea White Sugar 

1/2  cup Chelsea Soft Brown Sugar

1 eggs

1 tsp  vanilla essence

Pinch of salt

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 cups chocolate chips

Filtration Experiment

Today in Hurumanu 3 we are doing filtration experiment and blog after we Finnish the experiment.


Aim: To separate a solution from a precipitate (precipitate) is the name for a solid that forms in a liquid during a chemical reaction.


Hypothesis: 
I think if they mix together its just same no change like the blue solid stay in the top and the clear liquid stay in the botom

Equipment:

Sodium carbonate

Copper sulfate

Conical flask

Stirring Rod

200mL Beaker

Funnel

Filter paper

Method:

1. Pour approximately 50mL of copper sulfate solution into a beaker.

2. Add the same volume of sodium carbonate solution. A reaction will happen, you should see a cloudy blue precipitate form. Called copper carbonate. 

3. Watch demo then fold filter paper to fit inside the funnel

4. Place the funnel with the filter paper inside of it, into the mouth of a conical flask. 

5. Stir the mixture in the beaker, then carefully pour it into the funnel. 

6. Observe what happened.

Observations:
The blue  solid is Copper carbonate and the clear liquid is Sodium sulfate, so if they mix together the blue solid who was in the top and the clear liquid who was in the bottom one they are gonna swap like the blue solid was in the bottom and the clear liquid is in the top, that will happened if we mix them together.

Relationships 2020

Hi, Welcome to my new blogpost we are beating about online relationships are not as important as the real-life relationship.

Online relationship is like when you talk to your friend or to your grandfather/grandmother in another country. For me, online relationship is important for me because like when you have a friend or relative in another country you can just search his name on Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram.  but for me Facebook is better you can chat and call. If there are no online relationships you cant talk to your friend from another country. You can also meet a random person that you haven't meet in real life.

A real-life relationship is also very important because it's real-life where you can hang out with your friend or with your family. A real-life relationship where you can play with your friend or siblings because in the online relationship you can only talk but can't do it in real life. A real-life relationship where you talk to your friend in real life.

For me, they both important because in the online relationship you can talk to your relative or your grandmother/grandfather in other countries.  The real-life relationship you can talk to your friend in real life no need phone to talk to your friend and also you can play with your friend in real life relationship.  

The Present

Yesterday we watches the video, "The Present" in Wananga class. The video teaches us that we need to be resilient and make connections. The boy appreciates that the dog is not held back by his missing paw. The dog is playful, resilient, happy, friendly.  The dog wants to have a connection with a boy and to play with him.



How would you describe the boy at the start of the video?
Addicted to games

What did he think of his present?
He thinks like what was inside on the box

Why didn't he like him?
Because of his arm, one of his arms doesn't work and 3 does work but he can still walk.

Why do you think he didn't want to play with him?
Because he's busy playing video games and he doesn't want to get disturbed

Why did the mum choose this dog for her son?
Because they both have like broken arms but they both can still walk.

How do you think the boy feels about himself?
He thinks that he should play with the dog because they both can connect to each other.

What message do you think the story is trying to teach us?
Teach us to connect with someone that have same condition and communicate with each other.

Today we watched the  "Great realisation"  in Waanang class. it was made by Kiwi-born Thomas Robers during COVID 19 lockdown in London. In Roberts poem, he says the world filled with waste property and overconsumption people were wasting to much time on their devices. He also talks about COVID 19.
