Hurumanu -Rainbow Paper

Today, our science teacher said to us that we are going to do some experiment. I don't know what we do but suddenly our teacher shows us how to do it and what we need to make it. suddenly we've done our experiment and our teacher said that we are going to put this on the blog and what we experiment we need to take a  picture.

Aim: To separate colours by using the process of chromatography.

Materials.

  • Filter paper
  • Water-based felt pens.
  • Plastic cup
  • Pencil colour
  • Water

Forensics:

  • Footprint
  • DNA
  • Forgery
  • Ballistics
  • Fingerprint
  • Appearance
Steps:
  1.  You need the equipment that you need
  2. You need to get the filter paper
  3. What two colour do you want only green and black
  4. You need to put a two circle in the bottom of the  filter paper
  5. You need to fold it in a half the filter paper and then put it in the plastic cup
  6. Show it to your teacher and she/he will put water on it

Conclusion: What have I learned?

I learned how they separate colours, I learned how it works and what is the material we need. It was so cool to see the water making to a colour.  I Learned that the paper will slowly turn to a colour rainbow, I learned the water slowly turning to a colour.

  1. Kia ora JV, ka pai you have included all of the main headings that are required for a successful science report. I really like the photos you have included in you blog and it's interesting to see the colour moving up the paper. Something you could do next time is to label each of your photos that you include in your blog post. Great work JV!
