Hurumanu - Decomposing and Recycling

Hello, We are doing an amazing experiment. Im is so excited what it looks like. We are working with 3-4 groups to do this experiment.


Aim: To learn about the rate that different materials decompose. 

Hypothesis: I think that......  

Then  I think that banana going to break down first because it's part of the fruit and it easy to eat.

Materials:

1. Paper
2.  Banana
3. Bread
4.   Styrofoam
5.   4x Test Tube
6.   Test Tube Blocker
7.   Test Tube rack
8.  water

Steps:

1.   Get the four-Test Tube.
2.  Put each material in each cube.
3.  Like Banana, Paper, Bread  and Stylophone
4.  Put water in the bread only inside the Test Tube.
5.  We need to wait 5 weeks to see the result.

•   The Banana is yellow and taking half of the tube.
• The paper is brown and almost full in the tube.
• The Styrofoam cup is white and taking half of the tube.
• The Bread is white/brown and Taking half of the tube.

Banana	brown and black and green	Mould and returning from the top	Half of the banana move up and the half soften down.
Paper	Brown	No change	Paper no change it's just same
Styrofoam cup	White	No change	Styrofoam cup no change
Bread	White and brown	soften down	There is a tiny bit part of the bread is on the top and the rest part of the bread is in down.

•   The banana is yellow and half of the banana move up and the half soften down.
• The paper is brown and paper no change.  
• The styrofoam is white and no change.
• The bread is white and brown. There is a tiny bit of the bread is on the top and the rest part of the bread is in down.
