Protecting our planet

This week we have been learning about climate change like what we know about climate change and also we have to list some positive and negative in our planet but today we have to blog post about negative  climate change at least 3 things.

  • Plant more trees
  • Reuse as much as possible
  • Picking up rubbish
  • Recycle when you can

Here is some positive that I found in the Happy Broadcast

  • A compassionate city in New Zealand is closing a busy road for a month to allow an endangered sea lion to nest with her pup and reach the ocean safely.

  • Plogging is a fitness trend that originated in Sweden and means to pick up litter while jogging. It not only takes care of the environment but keeps the ‘ploggers’ healthy too. Let’s do it!

  • It’s time to adopt a houseplant! Research shows that the mere sight of an indoor plant can reduce stress and tending to them reduces anxiety and improves your sense of well-being

  • The city of Atlanta has grown the largest free food forest in the US where people can freely pick up veggies and fruits. An amazing solution to tackle food insecurity!

  • China steps up wildlife animal protection by adding 517 new species to its national protection list, the first major update since its introduction in 1989

  • Paris is removing half of its 140,000 on-street car parking spaces, replacing concrete with gardens to make the city greener and more people-friendly

  • In just  the first week of 2021, hundreds of locals in Indonesia have helped to clear 110 tons of plastic off four beaches (equivalent to the weight of 57 cars)

  • World’s only known white giraffe has been fitted with a GPS tracker to help protect it from poachers as it grazes in Kenya
